Education vs. Prisons

Governor Schwarzenegger proposed a California constitutional amendment that would instate a privately operated prison system while giving the money spent on the former public incarceration system to  education. While this may sound like a novel idea, but there is more to privatizing education than meets the eye, according to my guests this week from the UC Santa Cruz Student Union Assembly.
